SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it is actually alarmed about the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This sassa status check is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The support stage produced for intervention experiences a higher influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to empower the servicing of all buyers and enhance access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
